GROUP CLASSES
A minimum of three students is required to run a group class. Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum number is not met, so please RSVP to kathy@irishmusicschool.com as soon as possible! If the class isn't running, students will be given the option to convert to private or semi‐private lessons, depending on the instructor's availability.

Note:
All students must bring a digital voice recorder and a spiral notebook to classes and lessons (mandatory!) All students taking group classes are encouraged to attend weekly sessions and other school events. This is an absolutely essential and fun component of our school program.

Irish Singing
Learn traditional Irish songs and proper singing technique in this class, which will focus on Irish repertoire and choral work in the same idiom.

The tin whistle (aka penny whistle) is the easiest and most economical way to get right to the heart of traditional Irish music. Whether you want to dive right into the vibrant Chicago Irish session scene or just impress your friends with your version of "Danny Boy," this is the perfect place to start! Go home with a tune after your first class, or even stay for the music session directly after and play the tune with everybody!
Continuing Whistle/Intro to Irish Flute

This is a continuing class for players of the tin whistle who would like to start playing the Irish wooden flute as well. The Irish flute is basically keyless and requires different fingering technique from the metal flute. This class is also an excellent transitional class for classical flautists.
Slower Mixed Instrument Tunes & Techniques

Are you enjoying playing Irish music, but intimidated by full-tilt sessions? This is the class for you! A little experience, but not much, is required. Open to all melody instruments. We'll work on picking up tunes by ear and playing them in an Irish style.
Intermediate Mixed Instrument Tunes & Techniques
Tuesdays, 7:00pm - 8:00pm @ Chief O'Neill's (10 weeks - $230)
In this class we work on much more than just "learning tunes". Broaden your session-friendly repertoire, and delve deeper into the technique, history, and regional styles of Irish music. Practicing at home is important, but see how much fun learning in a group can be! Plan to stay for the exciting music session afterwards to try out your new tunes!

This class focuses on the stylistic nuances of accompanying Irish traditional music while giving you a solid harmonic and technical facility at the keyboard. Beginning Irish Fiddle

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
Private and semi‐private lessons are sometimes available for those enrolled in a group class. Please contact kathy@irishmusicschool.com for more information.
Private lesson tuition:
$30 for a half-hour
$45 for 45 minutes
$60 for an hour
Semi‐private lesson tuition (2 students):
$22 per 30 minute semi‐private lesson/per student
$30 per 45 minute semi‐private lesson/per student
$38 per 60 minute semi-private lesson/per student
DISCOUNTS
Register for more than one class and save!
Students taking more than one class get a 10% discount off each additional class (lower priced class).
Take a private lesson and a group lesson and save!
Students taking private lessons will be discounted 10% off the cost of a group class (must take private lessons continuously throughout term).
Family Rate
Families with more than 2 students taking classes get 10% off for the second and third student, and 15% off for all subsequent students starting with the 4th student.
