*Bodhrán Class (Ages 8 and up):
- Tuesdays, 5-6pm, Chief O'Neill's.
Jackie Moran, instructor
Learn how to play the bodhrán, that most ancient of traditional Irish instruments. Jackie will work with you on proper technique, how to make your playing sound good, how to accompany different types of tunes, playing in groups with other musicians and how to practice. Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil. Recording is allowed and welcome.

*Beginning Irish Tin Whistle is offered on:
- Tuesdays, 6:00-6:30, Chief O'Neill's. (half-hour class)

This class covers the basics of whistle-playing. It is suitable for absolute beginners, age 8 and up.

*Elementary Tin Whistle is offered on:
- Wednesdays, 4:45-5:45, St. John Fisher.
- Thursdays, 3:45 - 4:45, Gaelic Park.

This class is for students who are comfortable playing basic tunes on the whistle. We will expand our session-friendly repertoire while adding more advanced articulation and ornaments and increasing speed.

This class is for students who can easily play our school's beginning repertoire of polkas, slides, hornpipes, and a few jigs. We will expand our session-friendly repertoire while adding more advanced articulation and ornaments and increasing speed.

*Absolute Beginning Irish Fiddle Class (level 1) is offered on:
- Tuesdays, 4:00 - 5:00 at Chief O'Neill's.

This class is for fiddlers and violinists aged 6-11 who have no experience with bowing and fingering. Please bring a tape or digital recorder and a notebook to each class.
$144, 8-wk session.

*Beginning Irish Fiddle Class (level 2) is offered on:
- Tuesdays, 5:00 - 6:00 at Chief O'Neill's.
- Wednesdays, 3:45 - 4:45 at St. John Fisher School.

This class is for fiddlers and violinists aged 6-11 who are getting used to the beginning stages of playing either Irish or classical repertoire (such as the Suzuki Twinkle Variations or Essential Elements Book 1). This class is not designed for kids with no experience with bowing and fingering. Please bring a tape or digital recorder and a notebook to each class.
$144, 8-wk session.

*Elementary Irish Fiddle Class (level 3) is offered on:
- Mondays, 4:00-5:00, St. Tarcissus.
- Wednesdays, 3:20 - 4:20, St. John Fisher School in Beverly.
- Thursdays, 5:30 - 6:30, Gaelic Park.

This class is geared towards fiddlers aged 7-15 who can play a small handful of tunes, as well as classical violin students who may have no Irish music experience but can easily play Suzuki Book 2 and up. This class will focus on tweaking technique, refining finger patterns, gaining more advanced repertoire, increasing speed, and starting Irish ornament study. Students are required to attend weekly jam sessions and other school events to practice their new tunes and gain experience. Please bring a tape or digital recorder!
$144, 8-wk session.

- Wednesdays, 2:45-3:45, St. John Fisher
- Thursdays, 6:00-7:00, Gaelic Park
Jessica Ziegler, instructor
This class is for students who can easily play our beginning repertoire of polkas, slides, and hornpipes, and are currently adding many jigs and reels to their repertoire. Students increase their facility with ornaments, style, and melodic variation. This class is for players of all ages who have a good background of Irish playing and are now focusing on expanding their Irish technique, repertoire, knowledge, and speed. Please bring a tape or digital recorder!
